The Desert Foxes of Algeria has extended their 18-match unbeaten record with a win against the Super Eagles of Nigeria on Friday in Austria.
Ramy Bensebaini gifted Algeria the win with his 6th minute goal to seal a 1:0 victory over the West African nation and also extending Algeria’s unbeaten streak to 19 games.
Reacting to the loss, Super Eagles Coach, Gernot Rohr said: “This is a very good test for us. There are positives to pick from a tough game like this. Now we have to recover well and start to plan for the next game on Tuesday against another tough team.”
Algeria will travel to Netherlands for another friendly against Mexico on October 13 while Nigeria will remain in Austria for a friendly against Tunisia, also scheduled for October 13.
