The Executive Governor of Ekiti state Nigeria, Gov. Kayode Fayemi has reportedly tested negative for COVID-19.
The Governor announced his recovery on his official Twitter handle earlier this morning, August 1.
Governor Fayemi had disclosed testing positive for the novel coronavirus disease on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 after receiving his test results the previous day.
His tweet reads:
“After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my CoviD 19 repeat test came back negative. My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team and all well wishers for the prayers and solidarity. We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic. JKF”
