The Nigeria’s Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed on Tuesday that it received a delivery of over 100,000 COVID-19 test kits on behalf of the Nigerian Government as part of efforts to support the government’s moves in controlling the coronavirus pandemic.
The supplies were said to have been funded by IHS Nigeria, the Nigerian subsidiary of IHS Towers through UNICEF Nigeria.

He said “Our existence depends on how we respond collectively, we’re grateful to IHS Towers and UNICEF Nigeria for the support.”
Reacting, UNICEF Representative in Nigeria, Mr. Peter Hawkins commended the NCDC and the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 for the impressive response to the coronavirus pandemic.
“When the pandemic started, the world was worried of it’s devastating impact on countries like Nigeria. We therefore commend NCDC’s hard work. We’re confident our support, and other private sector colleagues will help contain the virus” said Mohamad Darwish, CEO of IHS Nigeria.
