Barcelona superstar, Lionel Messi has taken to his Instagram page on Friday to express his displeasure at the exit of teammate, Luis Suarez.
Messi, in a tribute post for his friend, that was translated to English, wrote:
“I was getting the idea but today I entered the locker room and I dropped the real chip. How hard it will be to not keep sharing the day to day with you, both on the courts and on the outside.
We’re going to miss them so much. seeing you wearing another shirt and much. It was many years, many mates, meals, dinners… Many things you will never forget, every day together. It’s gonna be weird seeing you wearing another shirt and much more facing you.
“You deserved to be fired like what you are: one of the most important players in club history, getting important things both in group and individually. And not to get kicked out like they did.
“But the truth is that at this point i’m no longer surprised. Wish you all the best in this new challenge. I love you so much, I love you so much. See you soon, mate.”
After arriving in August, new Barcelona head coach, Ronald Koeman told Suarez he would not be in his plans for the upcoming season, sealing the 33-year-old’s fate at Camp Nou.
The Uruguayan forward departed Camp Nou on Wednesday after six seasons in which he tallied 198 goals in 283 games, becoming the club’s third-highest all-time goalscorer, only topped by Cesar and Leo Messi.
