Popular Nigerian rapper and activist, Folarin Falana, better known by his stage name Falz, has taken to social media to mark his 30th birthday on Tuesday.
The musician, who has lately been vocal about the anti-police brutality protests in the country, and known to be one of the leaders of the #ENDSARS movement, said he is celebrating his big day today with mixed feelings.
Falz wrote: “Mixed feelings. It’s been a week since we lost our brave soldiers at the toll gate. I have also now officially been on this earth for 30 years.
“I pray for a much better tomorrow. I pray for a Nigeria that I can truly be proud to call home.”
Falz, born 27 October, 1990 in Mushin area of Lagos, is known for preaching for good governance in his songs and for also lending his voice in national issues.
