It has been a season of chaos at Old Trafford, but Manchester United are intent on ensuring that Marcus Rashford is going nowhere, despite the consistent speculation linking him with a move away from the club. So says The Sun, although Rashford himself is still unsure about committing his future to the club.
United are desperate for the 21-year-old England star to put pen to paper on a contract that will take him beyond the next two years, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to start the enormous rebuilding job facing him by making sure that Rashford plays a key role next season and beyond.
David DE Gea has been similarly noncommittal, with the likes of PSG keen on snatching him from United, and the thought of losing either player would be enough to give most United fans nightmares. Something will surely be done, though the Daily Record claims that Barcelona backup Jasper Cillessen is the man to replace DDG is he departs.
Meanwhile, Sky Sports report that United have made contact with Fulham over signing left-back/winger Ryan Sessegnon. The 19-year-old has been on the radar of Tottenham for a year and will want to stay in the Premier League after his club’s relegation.
