Mamelodi Sundowns Coach, Pitso Mosimane has handed in his resignation and will be announced as the new head coach of Al Ahly this week.
According to reports, the 56-year-old will succeed Rene Weiler in Cairo with the Swiss set for a return to Belgium.
Al Ahly President Mohamed El Khatib, is reported to have been a long-term admirer of Mosimane and is said to have approached the former Bafana Bafana head coach last week after Weiler expressed his desire to leave the Egyptian giants.
