Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria’s candidate for the position of the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), has been selected as one of the two female candidates to proceed to the final stage in the race to lead the Geneva-based global trade body.
According to media reports, the other female candidate is South Korea’s Yoo Myung-hee.
The three candidates that were eliminated at the second round, called “confessionals” were Kenya’s Amina Mohamed, Liam Fox of Britain and Mohammed Al-Tuwaijri from Saudi Arabia.
