Following a release made on Thursday afternoon in support of the University of Lagos former Vice Chancellor, Professor Ogundipe, which was signed by the Chairmen of ASUU, NAAT, SSANU, And NASU chapters in the University.
It appears that all is not yet resolved within the union as Africa News Plus have gathered that members of NAAT, NASU were not in support of a release condemning the removal of Professor Ogundipe from office.

In an interview with some members of the National Association Of Academic Technologists (NAAT) and Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities,(NASU) about their view of the solidarity release.
A member of NAAT said “We have shown our displeasures and grievance on the unilateral decision taken by our exco.
Another member who pleaded anonymity said “If anyone should move for vote of no conference , in fact everyone will second it. I actually want our most respected excos to tender apology letter to the whole NAAT members.
While reacting to the release, A member of NASU said “We are no more neutral, since our chairman has gone to sign letter with the other unions without our members consent. Well, it is a pity for our exco to put hand in what they never initiated.
Another member of the NASU who was bewildered by the decision of their Chairman to have signed the release said
“Is this not our Chairman’s signature? I think last time I checked, the Chairman directed us to be neutral. So, what has changed?
On Thursday, the management of the University of Lagos, UNILAG, appointed Professor Theophilus Omololu Soyombo of the Faculty of Social Sciences as the acting the Vice Chancellor of the University. While Professor Ogundipe’s actions is currently being investigated.
